Girls with their make-ups.

Please understand what goes through a girl’s mind when she put’s on makeup. As she puts her alarm clock two hours before she wakes up, she is deciding what to wear to make her body look cute, what hairstyle to do for today, and how to cover her flaws with makeup. As she drags herself out of bed every morning, she knows how to cover her insecurities well. This is her daily routine.
Her outfit. Something cute. Edgy. But not to crazy. Something that’s in right now. But has her own style. Should she wear shoes, boots, flats, or sandal. Should she wear what makes her comfortable to strut around school and what the weather permits. Or should she wear uncomfortable pants because it makes her butt looks big. Should she throw on accessories like necklaces, bracelets, rings, ear rings, and etc. Should she wear a backpack, hang bag, tote, or messenger bag. She just wants to look cute and fit in.
Then she’s indecisive on what her hair should look like. Should she wrap it in a bun or tie it up on a ponytail because she’s lazy to straighten it. Maybe she can add a little taste and add a poof with her bangs. Maybe she’ll straighten her hair and add a cute head accessory. Or she can spend time adding heat protectant to her hair and spend an hour curling it. There are those days when her hair isn’t cooperating with her and she’s just going to hairspray and tame the frizz. But she still wants to look cute.
The worst part is looking in the mirror, picking out your flaws, and covering it up. She has to add a base for her makeup to last long. Then some concealer to hide those pimples and big eye bags she got last night. Maybe she wants to pencil her eyebrows so they could look less bushy. Then she’ll do her eyeshadow to give her eyes glimmer and edginess. Then she’ll add eyeliner to make her eyes more enlivening. Adding blush so her cheeks will look rosy. Then she’ll add lipstick to her boring live-less lips. Maybe she’ll add fake eyelashes to add more intriguing look. She’s enhancing her beauty, but she thinks she’s covering a hideous girl.
Do girls want to do this? Do you think it’s fun waking up so early everyday just for our looks? Do you think we want to spend so much money on worthless crap? Do you think we want to be judged so harshly? We don’t choose to be girls, living in this society where looks are important. So please next time, don’t judge a girl for caking her face. But tell her she looks pretty with/without makeup.
