My Horror Story

Graveyard is always scary?
It was dark. I was walking back home from tuition. I was feeling hungry as well. It was raining. I felt the raindrops on my skin and a cold shiver ran down my spine. The cold wind was howling. The stray dogs were barking. The street lamps were flickering. The watch on my wrist shown a quarter to twelve. I quicken my steps. I had reached a graveyard.

The stars were twinkling in the pitch black sky like thousands of fireflies. The canopy of stars with their bright twinkling lights appeared like a carpet of jewels and it was the only beautiful sight at the ghastly graveyard. I searched my great grandfather's graveyard. It had been long time since I visited him. I placed a bouquet of flowers on his graveyard in low spirits. There was no sign of life anywhere, only darkness and hissing silence. I was slinking my way out of the graveyard. I kept wondering around and it took me awhile to realized that I was lost. I had butterflies in my stomach. I was looking around and there was nothing except for the graves. I tried to contact someone form my phone but there was no signal of communication. Suddenly, unknown figures came into view. I was not sure whether if it was a group of humans or wild animals. My heart was thumping like an African Bongo. My imagination started going wild. Then, the figure made a 'purr' sound. It was a devilish looking black cat. " Stupid cat!", I cursed under ,y breath.

I looked on my watch and it was showing to twelve exactly. Unexpectedly, I could feel something touching me. I turned and found out it was a hand. An icy cool hands belonged to a man. I nearly jumped out of my skin. "Follow me now," he growled. I chocked on my saliva but felt a strong force pulling my frail body towards him. A step closer and I could see him clearer. His hair was unkempt. His sunken eyes looked like holes in the eye sockets. His breathing sounded heavy. His lips were dried as if he was dehydrated. He told me he was the graveyard keeper but his appeal does not tell the same way. Which graveyard keeper wore suits to work?  We arrived nowhere with a coffin and a shovel. " Help me dig", the man muttered. I realized that there was a grave next to the place where I was supposed to dig a hole. A female grave who recently passed away.

I had done digging. The man was letting out a muffled cry and stretched his hands on the grave. He mumbled too. I stood there dumbfounded. The man opened the coffin and I glimpsed in it. The corpse looked familiar. I caught my breath. I ignored the feeling as I knew it was impossible. I helped the man buried the coffin into the hole. It looked as if I was the graveyard keeper. The man hardly did anything. When the work was done, the man showed me the way out. Before I left, "Next time don't come to a graveyard after 12 midnight or you'll meet a ghost", the man croaked. I was not sure whether it was a joke about the ghosts but I gurgled weakly. I was slouching my way out with sweats glistering down my forehead. I looked back and the man was gone. I was too tired to care.

I lived my life as usual. I turned on my television and it was on news. It was about a man who was killed violently the day before yesterday. The man's dead body had gone missing from the corpse department. The police assumed that the killer took it away. The victim had nobody but he used to had a wife who passed away. I felt sorry for the victim. Then, the picture of the killer and the victim were shown. I chocked on my food. " You look as if you had seen a ghost", mum blustered. I could feel my hair standing at their ends. I asked mum about the graveyard keeper and she said that the graveyard keeper only works till eleven. My voice shook as I spoke. I could remember when the cool icy wind piercing into my bones, sending shiver down my spine.

Sixth month of the year

1 June 2011. The beginning of June.  5 months had passed in a blink of an eye. It still feels like I just celebrated New Year. 4 more months for my SPM. Oh god! I really need more time. For the form 4s, you still have time. For the form 5s, you gotta chase the time.

1 June 1994 was the birth of a dearest friend and I call her 'Barney'. My Barney. I couldn't get her anything with my financial problem. So, I took her to the nearest supermarket, Giant. And I wished I could bring her to the nearest mall but too bad I'm not 'pro' enough to drive her there.
This was the first thing we saw. *excited*

How to celebrate birthdays without spending much money.
Birthday party is indeed being celebrated once a year for every person. I wonder how. Well, back to business, celebrating birthday without much money is considered as quite unlucky. But, you are lucky enough if your friends still remember your birthday and spend time together with them. At least, there is someone who cares about you.

1. USE WHATEVER NECESSARY
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • PELAKA (type of paint)
  • Toothpaste
Eggs are very important. Throw at the birthday boy/girl so that he/she will have to shower. Good idea, huh?he colour of flour makes it a perfect combination of eggs. Throw after eggs, please. You will see the result. Not enough with the colour? PELAKA serves you with different selection of colours. It is not hazardous and can easily be cleaned. Do not worry! If you do not have anymore ideas, toothpaste could be a useful tool as well. Just splat on his/her head to make toothpaste a ‘new shampoo’.
2. SELECT APPROPRIATE LOCATION
  • Toilet
  • Field
  • Parking lot
The most secured place is toilet where you can easily clean them up. Well, just ‘partying’ with those eggs, flours, and etc. and have a blast in the toilet! I am sure he/she would not dare to run out from the toilet. Field is a suggestion where you do not have to clean them up. Throw whatever you want to throw, as long as it is safe. Plus, you can run wherever you wish to. A sudden attack is a good way to prank people. After the birthday boy/girl get out from vehicle, throw at him/her. Of course, not in the car okay.
 3. Hang out together
You can ask your friends for sleep over at your house and have fun like a slumber party. Pillow fight, gossiping, watch movies from DVD, cook together and so on.
